St. Patrick Church Pastoral Council

Present: Fr. John, Sam Cari, Mary Seyer, Carrie Whitacre, Mark Sturino, Jeanne Darnold, Shawn Porter, Howard Cameron, Rich O’Connor,
Also present: Ken Schaefer, Mary Piasecki, Larry Huiras, Mark Nelson, Claire Zajac, Tom Brinsko, Brian Huffman, Darlene Kreer, Jerry Schnobrich.
Prayer Father John led the council in prayer.
Call to Order: Sam Cari called the meeting to order at 6:08 pm.
Agenda The agenda was approved as presented.
Minutes:The minutes from the February were approved with a correction of a typographical error.
Calendar:The council agreed to meet on May 13th with the Finance council to discuss the results of the Assessment tool for parish ministry.
Assessment Tool: Dennis Cheesebrow from the National Leadership Roundtable on Church Management addressed the council on management tools for Catholic parishes. He provided the council with an assessment tool to identify strengths to build on and potential for improvement in our parish. The council agreed that the parish council did not have enough adequate information to complete the assessment, such as an accurate number for the total number of families who currently consider themselves members of the parish for a start. The council agreed to discuss creating a data base of essential information that would be available to assist in the assessment at the May 13th meeting.
Elections:The council agreed that a full and open discussion of the election process would be on the agenda for the May 13th meeting.
Adjournment:The meeting was adjourned at approximately 8:50pm.
