Diocesan Liaison Committee
The Pastoral Council created the Diocesan Liaison Committee to assume the responsibilities formerly undertaken by the Elders Council. It is believed that parish needs and structures will be better served by a standing committee which makes regular reports to the Pastoral Council. The Elders group regularly communicated with Bishop Fliss on behalf of the Parish, making recommendations on how to make the Four Commitments a reality and giving reports to the Parish and wider community on progress. The Diocesan Liaison Committee is planning to continue this dialogue with Bishop Peter Christensen. We hope that a transition in leadership will not result in a disruption of this channel of communication or a loss of the progress we have made to date.
