St. Patrick Church Pastoral Council
January, 22, 2008 (approved)
Present: Fr. John, Sam Cari, Howard Cameron, , Mary Seyer, Carrie Whitacre, Shawn Porter, Mark Sturino, Sr. Bernadette, Jeanne Darnold, Rick Reams, Rich O’Connor.Also present: Ken Schaefer, Mary Piasecki, Larry Huiras, Reg Klubeck, , Tim O‘Brien, Mark Nelson, Claire Zajac, Maureen Wegleitner, Dana McKenna, Erin Jones.Prayer: Father John led the council in prayer.
Call to Order: Sam Cari called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm.
Agenda The agenda was approved as presented.
Minutes: The minutes from the November, meeting were approved. Pilot Program: The council agreed to participate in a pilot program by meeting with Dennis Cheesebrow on April 21, 2008 at 6:00pm. The program is concerned with communication on a Diocesan Level.
Youth Minister Selection Committee: Father John announced that Mark Nelson and his wife Tracy would be leaving our faith community as they move to South Dakota in June. The council congratulated Mark on Tracy’s acceptance into medical school. A committee has been selected to search for a youth minister to start in July, 2008.Faith Formation Presentation: Dan McKenna and Larry Huiras presented a program on Liturgical Catechesis and how it could be adopted for our parish. Father John expressed his support for the program. Father John stated that Catechesis based on the Liturgy is a program that can united our parish in the study of the scriptures. He asked all council members to pray on the idea and come back in February ready to discuss adopting the program.Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at approximately 8:20pm.
