Candlemas - The Feast of the Presentation of the Lord - Bring your candles
All are invited to bring wax candles for the blessing of candles at all the weekend Masses. This day, February 2nd, we celebrate the feast of the Presentation of the Lord which has been traditionally known as Candlemas. We will bless a large portion of our parish candles for the year and also any candles that you would like to have blessed to use in the coming year.
Also, on Monday, February 3rd at our weekday Mass, we will offer the blessing of throats traditionally celebrated on the feast day of St. Blaise, bishop and martyr.
