Catholics who experience the burden of old age, have had any significant decline in their health, are preparing for a major surgery, or are nearing death can receive the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick as an encounter with Christ the Divine Physician. This Sacrament strengthens the individual in the midst of their suffering and unites the person closely to Christ who suffered for our sake that we might be healed. This Sacrament can be celebrated at a hospital or other medical facility, in the home, or here at the parish.
