Prayer Groups

Strength in Prayer Community

A prayer group in the Catholic Church serves as a gathering of individuals united in their commitment to deepening their spiritual lives through communal prayer. Members come together regularly to offer intercessions, praises, and petitions to God, fostering a sense of solidarity and support in their faith journey. These groups often focus on specific intentions, such as healing, discernment, or social justice, and may incorporate various forms of prayer, including scripture reflection, devotional practices, and charismatic prayer. Through shared prayer, members experience the power of community and the grace of God's presence, strengthening their bond with each other and with the wider Church. Additionally, prayer groups often provide opportunities for spiritual growth, fellowship, and mutual encouragement, enriching the spiritual lives of their members and contributing to the overall vitality of the parish community.

Prayer groups currently active at Saint Patrick Parish include:

Seven Sisters Apostolate | A call to strengthen the Church by ensuring that a Holy Hour is prayed each day of the week for the sole intention of a specific priest or bishop—a “holy wasting” (cf. Mt. 26:10) or lavishing of prayer for his deeper conformity to Christ.

Prayer Chain | This is a team of parishioners who are called upon to pray for any urgent or immediate prayer request. These requests are separate from those listed in the bulletin under Prayer List, which are more long term. If you would like more information about the Prayer Chain or to be added to the Prayer Chain team to pray for others, please email: debhoff3wi@gmail.com or call Nancy at 715-386-9696. Additionally, if you have an urgent prayer request, please email: debhoff3wi@gmail.com or call Nancy at 715-386-9696.

Evangelization Prayer Team | The Evangelization Prayer team is a group of individuals who have committed to a weekly prayer time for the evangelization efforts here at Saint Patrick Parish.  Sharing of the Good News (evangelization) can only be done through the powerful intercession of the Holy Spirit, which is where you come in.  Prayers can include a set Eucharistic Holy Hour, praying for apostolates within our parish, daily Mass, and more.  If you feel called to help share the Good News of Jesus Christ to those around you but don’t know where to begin? Let’s start here!  If you would like to join the prayer team, please contact Antoinette Kaiser.
