Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD alone!
Therefore, you shall love the LORD, your God, with your whole heart, and with your whole being, and with your whole strength.
Take to heart these words which I command you today.
Keep repeating them to your children. Recite them when you are at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you get up.
Bind them on your arm as a sign and let them be as a pendant on your forehead.
Write them on the doorposts of your houses and on your gates.
~ Deuteronomy 6: 4-9
Family Formation
Ages 3 yrs (by September 1) – 5th Grade
One Sunday a Month
October – May | 9:00 – 10:30 AM
Saint Patrick Social Hall
Once a month, parents and children gather at church to learn about the same topic of Faith.
Through this time together as a parish, families are encouraged not only by parish staff, but by other families who are also undertaking the same task of raising their children in the Faith.
During the once a month session students in Grades preK-5 meet in classes, divided by grade level, where trained catechists present the lessons. Parents gather as a separate group where they are evangelized, catechized, encouraged, and equipped. This adult component is key to the transmission of Faith in the home. A portion of the monthly gathering also includes a time for parents and children to come together for a shared prayer experience or activity.
Also during the monthly gathering at the parish, families are given a packet of weekly lessons to use at home throughout the rest of the month. These Home Lessons are easy to use and have been developed and used by parents amidst typical busy family life. The lessons bring the whole family together to study and then apply the teachings to their day-to-day life. Down-to-earth, engaging and easy-to-use, the curriculum focuses on introducing families to a living encounter with Christ while exploring the basics of the Catholic faith, with the Gospel as the central element. The 2023-2024 year is the BEST year to get started with Family Formation!

YDisciple is a program for young people to become more deeply committed followers of Jesus, guided by a mentor in a small group environment. Grounded in intentionality, small groups with a mentor provide space for young people to dialogue about the faith and provide the community that is essential to the life of a disciple. Middle schoolers will participate in large group events with high schoolers, Mass, Adoration, service projects, and Reconciliation. Optional opportunities include Jesus Nights and Youth Group (8th grade up).

The message of the Gospel, the kerygma, and sharing the richness of the Catholic Faith help our youth see the invitation Jesus is offering for them to become his disciples and to be in a personal relationship with him.
Chosen is a program that presents the Catholic Faith to teens in a way that keeps their attention to form their young hearts into disciples of Christ in their journey to Confirmation. Small group leaders cultivate deep love for God, our youth, and the Church; it is the wellspring of life as we seek to ignite a love for Christ in the hearts of our youth and bring them the truth of the Catholic Faith so that they will carry it with them for the rest of their lives.
High School and Middle School students will gather as a large group one Wednesday each month.
